Performing At TGI.FRIDAYS Katong!

I had the wonderful opportunity to perform at TGI.Fridays for thier Easter event as a table hopping magician for kids! Talk about all those months and hours of practicing and finally putting it all together for this event where it really paid off i think! It was super exhilarating and amazingly wonderful!

The event was held at the new mall 112 Katong on a Sunday, it was the Easter weekend. I had put in all the effects i knew the night before and tried my best to carefully coordinate a 15 min show for each table which i found was a little too long however since i broke up the set into 3 effects and then a small break, it was great.

Since i was performing for children the effects had to be visual, and i threw in one or two mentalism effects for the older kids as well so they didn't get too bored with the visual stuff.....but nobody gets bored of the visual stuff. I guess just to add some variety. I did get very nervous from the start, i didn't know what to do when i got there and i realized how important it is not just to know how to perform but all the pre-performance work that goes behind each performance.

The effects i performed are as follows:

  • Balloon through hand phone (pressure by daniel garcia)
  • The enigma by Paulino Gil
  • Fly away coins by Micheal ammar (thats who i learned from)
  • Deans Beads by Dean Dil
  • The Stealth Pen by Oz Pearlman
  • Sensing the handwriting -- a variation of the t-t-pd
  • Toosh by Steve Haynes
  • Blockade By Limin
Enough talk here are the pictures!
